Years ago I took up spinning, I’d always wanted to.
I enjoy spinning but my hand spun yarn isn’t great. Lots of slubs in it. Doesn’t matter. I’m not a very good knitter.
Then I visited a gallery and saw a felt picture. It was amazing, a combination of wet and needle felting.
I am not an artist and didn’t mind that I wouldn’t be able to achieve that standard.
However I became interested in the felting process. It was another way of producing something from a raw fleece. The craft of wet felting is so versatile. I love the idea that no 2 pieces are going to be the same. And you can’t be wrong… 🙂
